Old Oaks Skate Park

Haysville's newest park improvements were made to Old Oak Park this year with the addition of a skate park facility and a BMX track.



Location:

Old Oaks Skate Park is located on South Jane Street west of the Public Works Facility.

Amenities:
Old Oaks Skate Park includes a skate park facility that has a half pipe, quarter pipes, rails and more. The BMX track winds through trees with hairpin turns and moguls. There is also a basketball court located in the park.

Park Rules and Regulations:

 

WARNING! THIS FACILITY DOES NOT PROVIDE SUPERVISION.  USERS ASSUME ALL RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY. USE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY. THE FOLLOWING RULES WILL BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES:

 

1. Park Hours: Dawn to Dusk Daily

2. Users are expected to wear helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and other safety equipment to provide protection in the event of falls or collisions. Failure to wear appropriate safety gear is grounds for removal from park.

3. No glass containers, food or beverages allowed within the fenced skating area.

4. Alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs are prohibited.

5. No graffiti or defacing of public property.

6. No unauthorized ramps or other obstacles are allowed in the skate park facility.

7. Children under 16 years are encouraged to skate with adult supervision. Children under 6 years of age should not use the skate park.

8. No pets are allowed in the skate park area.

9. Safety guidelines –

• Know your abilities and skate at your own risk.

• Do not proceed down a ramp until clear of other skaters.

• No skating against traffic on ramps or pipes, skate with traffic on course.

• No horseplay or fighting allowed.

• Please remember, skate with safety in mind and remember weather conditions may create unsafe surfaces for skating.

10. The City of Haysville reserves the right to close the skate park or remove persons from the facility for any circumstances deemed necessary.

11. Report problems or maintenance concerns to the Parks Department at 529-5940.
