Grand Reopens; Railroad Overpass Project Nears Completion
Haysville--After eighteen long months Grand Avenue is set to reopen Monday, March 14th. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 pm at the intersection of North Main and West Grand to commemorate this long awaited event.
Beginning Monday evening the Grand Avenue will be reopened at the railroad tracks, once again making Grand Avenue a through street in Haysville. Over the next 30 days there will be certain rerouting of traffic through Grand as work continues on the Union Pacific Railroad/Grand Avenue grade separation project. The project is expected to reach substantial completion sometime in late April/early May.
Mayor Bruce Armstrong and County Commissioner Tim Norton invite everyone to attend the ribbon cutting and enjoy, once again, the convenience of driving straight across town.
