New Home Incentive Grant

 

The City of Haysville, through its economic development strategic planning process, has created a New Home Incentive Program.  As funds allow, applicants qualify for the program by either purchasing a new custom construction home or a spec home that has never been owner occupied or rented for more than twelve months.  The home must be located inside the City Limits of Haysville and must be the primary residence of the home buyer(s).  This program provides a grant in the form of a $1,500 voucher.  The voucher can be used in any combination of the following:  1) credit to be applied to the home owner’s water bill;  2) a closing cost assistance check which will be given directly by the City to the title company on or before closing date;   3) landscaping costs (rebated excluding sales tax) when purchased from a Haysville business or vendor.   A conceptual landscape drawing must be presented within 60 days of submitting the New Home Incentive Grant Application.  Fencing and sprinkler systems will not be considered as landscaping.  Subject to City review, landscaping must be closely accomplished according to the conceptual drawing.  Landscaping costs will normally be rebated within 30 days of submitting paid vendor receipts to the Community Development Office.  Twelve months following the closing date, any unused portion of the voucher will be credited to the water bill.
