Education/Training Grants

The City of Haysville, through its economic development strategic planning process, has created the Education / Training Grant Program designed to provide cost relief, in the form of rebate, for education and or training to businesses within designated Target areas. Target areas are inside the City limits of Haysville and defined as: Broadway (US 81) Corridor; Main Street Corridor; Meridian Street Corridor; Grand Avenue Arterial; public and private Industrial Parks.  As funds allow, grants up to $300 (minimum of $50) will be awarded to business owners, and or their key personnel, who wish to take advantage of educational seminars, workshops, on-line opportunities and in-person classes or trainings which are designed to provide direct benefit to their business.

A partial list of possible providers is attached.  Details of the scope of the education and or training opportunity for the applicable grant year, including the name(s) of key personnel to be trained or attending, and an explanation of the direct benefit to your business, must be submitted with the Education / Training Rebate Grant Application a minimum of 30 days in advance of such opportunities.

NOTE: For opportunities that arise after the original submission of details, the original application can be revisited once during the same grant year. Following grant approval, funds will be awarded within 30 days of submitting proof of: 1) completion of education or training, and 2) payment for education or training completed.  Call the Community Development office to discuss your education or training opportunities and obtain an application.
