Fee Abatement / Waiver
The City of Haysville, through its economic development strategic planning process, has created the Fee Abatemnt / Rebate Grant Program. As funds allow, this program is designed to provide business owners with cost relief from fees for water tap, water meter, sewer tap and building permits associated with new construction and or remodeling within designated Target Areas. A predetermined scope of work must be presented with, and according to, the Fee Abatement / Rebate Grant Application. This grant allows for any combination of abatement and or rebates for these fees. Building permit costs may be abated and or rebated up to 50% while all other fees may be fully abated and or rebated. Combined abatements and rebates shall not exceed $7,500.
Applications / Projects may not be funded if the level of direct competition with a business in any Target Area is deemed by City Staff to be detrmental in any way. Potentially eligible recipients of program assistance must apply for funding assistance, and receive formal approval by action of Haysville City Staff, in advance of accomplishing new construction and or remodeling in order to receive abatements or rebates. Incentives are designed as "but-for" incentives: "but-for the incentive's certainty of being approved, as evidenced by formal approval being granted by City Staff, the business would not otherwise justify the economic risks associated with the project.
